Khiron Life Sciences Corp. now has a total of 16 medical cannabis clinics across the globe with the opening of a new location in Peru. Khiron’s latest addition of Zerenia™ has opened in Lima, Peru. The company has partnered with the specialised pain clinic, Clínica del Dolor Lima to provide medical cannabis treatments to over 10,000 chronic pain patients in the area starting February 2022.
Khiron CEO and Director, Alvaro Torres, commented: “In 2021, Peru represented around 5 per cent of our total volume sales in Latin America, and now with our new partnership with CDL we believe we can increase our sales cost-effectively by expanding Zerenia in Peru. In our first clinic in Peru, over 80 per cent of total consultations resulted in medical cannabis prescriptions, further validating our unique, evidence and service-driven strategy. By establishing a new pain-focused partnership with Clínica del Dolor Lima in Lima, we plan to grow beyond our current capacity and offer different treatment alternatives to more than 10,000 patients annually.
